My name is Giuseppe La Tona, I am 24 years old and I am from San Cataldo, a town in che center of Sicilia, Italy.
I graduated with a Master Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Catania in July 2008.
From September 2008 I am living in Tokyo for one year as a participant of the programme Vulcanus in Japan 2008/2009, organized by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation.
I have attended 4 months of intensive Japanese language course (September-December 2008), and obtained the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) certification, level 4.
Since January 2009, I am taking an internship of 8 months at NTT Data Corporation, Research & Development Headquarters, Tokyo. The internship theme regards Mandatory Access Control (MAC) techniques for enforcing security in Operating Systems. Currently I am studying and researching for TOMOYO Linux, the open source lightweight MAC implementation for Linux operating systems, and I am in charge to port TOMOYO Linux to Android platform and embedded Linux systems.
